• Urban Music Award Best Afrobeats Artist of 2012, Fuse ODG to headline at festival
• British-Ghanaian musician, Mista Silva will perform his chart topping tracks
• Urban artists, Abra Cadabra will be taking to the stage as supporting act
• The UK’s biggest Urban Radio DJ, Abrantee will host the special event
The cultural festival, Urban Roots which is set to take place on Saturday 27th August from 12pm – 9pm has revealed incredible names in the urban music scene will take to the stage.
The festival which aims to bring cultures together with a spectacular array of street food, cocktails and entertainment will welcome the artists to perform in-front of guests. From Afrobeats award winning Fuse ODG, Ghanaian musician, Mista Silver to Urban Artist, Abra Cadabra and Capital 1xtra DJ, Abrantee, the festival will house some of the biggest talent in the industry.
Fuse achieved the number one spot in the ITunes World Chart and has had over 21 million views on YouTube for Antenna and over 18 million views for Million Pound Girl.
Mista Silva, known best for his track ‘Now Wats Up’, was the first unsigned UK Afrobeats artist to have his music playlisted by BBC 1Xtra.
DJs will also include; Pnp family with DJ Francis, The PM from Rainbow Radio, She Jay and Mister Marquis from Buzz Radio.
The festival takes place a day before the famous Notting Hill Carnival, getting families, couples and friends in good spirits for the bank holiday weekend.
Tickets are selling fast and can be purchased for an early bird reduced price of £15 per adult and £5 for under 16’s per person at www.urbanrootsfestival.co.uk kids under 10 go free. A percentage of ticket sales will be donated to the Sickle Cell Society. Guests can expect to pay £20 on the door.
