The Goldsmithy Milton Keynes

On Thursday 19 October, The Goldsmithy Ltd, based in Stony Stratford is opening up its doors for live demonstrations, an exhibition of their exquisite jewellery creations, and a silent auction to raise money for Willen Hospice.

The Goldsmiths and Watchmakers, will host two ticket times at their workshop – one from 6pm – 7.30pm, and another from 7.45pm – 9.15pm. Tickets are limited and will cost £5, plus a 90p booking fee. The full ticket price will be donated to Willen Hospice.

Guests will enjoy a glass of bubbly on arrival as they explore some of the bespoke jewellery pieces’ father and son; Glenn and Paul Chapman have created in the 7 years they’ve been in O’dells Yard.

Glenn Chapman, who was trained by Cartier London in 1972, is creating a limited edition coin to commemorate MK50 which will be up for auction on the evening, along with 5 unique pieces of jewellery specially made for the evening by Paul Chapman. All of the proceeds will be donated to charity.

The evening will include a live demonstration of the Father & Son showing some of the making processes; from melting metal and soldering, to skilfully shaping a ring. Two members from the audience will also get the chance to have a go at the bench – something The Goldsmithy Ltd offer to customers having bespoke jewellery made.

Every guest attending will receive a complimentary voucher for a free clean and shine on a piece of their own beloved jewellery.

Glenn Chapman, Goldsmith and Owner of The Goldsmithy Ltd comments: “Willen Hospice do such an incredible job taking care of others so we wanted to put on an evening to invite people to show what we do at The Goldsmithy and raise money for charity. We are very proud to be in Milton Keynes so have been designing a special, one-off coin to celebrate the town’s 50th birthday – which we hope will help raise more money for Willen Hospice.”

Dawn Clark, Fundraising Manager at Willen Hospice said, “It’s wonderful to receive support from our local community. We would like to say a big thank you to The Goldsmithy for their forthcoming charity event and auction in support of Willen Hospice. Their amazing fundraising will help raise vital funds for Willen Hospice to help us continue to be there to care for our patients and their loved ones.”
