Yoga Studio

Whitespace Yoga and Wellbeing Studio – based in Stony Stratford – was born with an authentic and ambitious desire to change Milton Keynes in a small but positive way.

Built on the passionate belief that when people feel good, their lives improve; the studio – which opened in October 2010 – has been able to help 9,260 people feel good because they’ve put their wellbeing back on the priority list and taken the positive feeling into their workplace and homes.

Whitespace Studio does more than provide a range of yoga, pilates and mindfulness classes. The teachers have been hand-picked to help educate people about the importance of taking care of their wellbeing. They achieve this by making classes fun, inspiring and accessible for everyone in Milton Keynes.

Giving back to the community

The wellbeing studio has created a community committed to making a difference by regularly donating to local charities as well as organising multiple free events and fundraising campaigns each year. These include; free talks on wellbeing topics, collections for MK Shelter, free taster classes and fun events to help raise money.

This year, together with the community and events put on by the studio team, Whitespace Studio was able to donate £670 and clothing to help those in need during the harsh winter. The studio also rehomed ‘lost’ water bottles and yoga mats by donating these to MK Night Shelter, so those without a permanent home can use the mats to sleep on and stay hydrated.

As part of the studio’s environmental commitment, Whitespace Studio has made a promise to the planet by making more sustainable choices by switching to eco-friendly, refillable cleaning products, rehoming items where possible, and most recently co-hosting a community litter pick event around Willen Lake to clear up the beautiful green space for all to enjoy. The studio and Conscious Living MK were joined by an army of volunteers who together collected 20 bags of rubbish and recycling which could have otherwise added to the plastic pollution epidemic.

Wellbeing in the workplace

As avid believers of workforce wellbeing, Whitespace Studio works with several local businesses to offer corporate wellbeing sessions, tailored to meet each company’s needs and help achieve a healthy, calm and energised workforce.

Located in a stunning 17th-century building tucked away in a peaceful courtyard just off the high street of Stony Stratford, Whitespace Studio offers discounts as part of corporate wellbeing packages, as well as bespoke onsite wellbeing classes.
