As a new year begins, global adhesive manufacturer tesa, whose UK headquarters are in Milton Keynes, is reflecting on a year of success, including 11 years of attending the National Painting and Decorating Show. As the industry’s biggest annual event, tesa’s inclusion at the show held over two days in November at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry continued to demonstrate its commitment to the painting and decorating professionals, including the 3,500 who attended this year.

Since tesa’s very first appearance at this key industry event in 2007, competition has grown and stands have become more innovative, so the leading global adhesive tape manufacturer has continued to grow its presence year-on-year. This year, the stand allowed the brand to be seen across the entire exhibiting hall with a giant tesa tape suspended from the ceiling and becoming the official lanyard sponsor that every visitor received.

tesa took this year’s event as a chance to highlight its Precision Mask adhesive tapes and Easy Cover Precision®, but visitors to the stand could also experience and interact with a wide variety of the craftsmen range. These products received exceptional feedback from painters and decorators, many of whom now understand why there are different tapes for different applications during their jobs from the insight and education provided on the stand.

Donna Smith, Trade Marketing Manager at tesa commented: “The National Painting and Decorating Show remains a fantastic opportunity for us to highlight our place in the market and strengthen our relationship with tesa customers, as well as interact with those in the trade who are not currently aware of our full range and its capabilities.

“Each year we have continued to demonstrate our commitment to providing ‘the right product for the job’ to painting and decorating professionals at the show, so we knew this year was a good time for tesa to create a large impact and highlight our position as a market leader. This is becoming more important as similar products are appearing within the sector, however, we offer added value that our competitors don’t in service, education, training, expertise

and support.”

Some exciting new opportunities are on the horizon for tesa in 2020 as a result of exhibiting at the show to expand the tesa exposure within the painting and decorating market.
